Jeremy Barnett, Managing Director
Jeremy has been involved with Chinese manufacturing since 1998. Most of that time was spent in China, where he handled negotiations with foreign buyers for Chinese manufacturers on-site and at trade shows in China and Europe. Back in Australia, he heads up China Confidential and is involved in all aspects of its operations, including account management for local clients.
Tony Wright, Special Projects Advisor
Tony brought his first container out of China in 1981 and has extensive Asia experience, including serving as Boral’s Managing Director, Asia in the nineties. A graduate of the Harvard Business School, Tony is in demand as a speaker –his engagements include the Annual Lecture on Asian Business – Australian Graduate School of Management 1994-99, Australia China Forum 1995, and Economic Intelligence Unit Conferences 1995, 1998, 1999. Advising select China Confidential clients on China strategy, Tony brings a wealth of experience and considered insight to the team.
Sophie Zhuo, Operations Manager
Sophie’s command of English and three Chinese languages combined with a strong eye for detail make her an efficient coordinator of people, products and projects across language and distance barriers. Before China Confidential Sophie managed sales departments for large Chinese exporters in the textile and porcelain industries. Based in Australia now, Sophie ensures that vastly different languages and cultural assumptions do not get in the way of getting a great deal for our clients.
Paul Royds, National Account Manager
Paul's background is sales and account management, with a strong focus on the events industry in Sydney and London. Managing multiple projects, keeping track of detailed specifications and getting results for his clients on time comes naturally to Paul. He is based at our Australian office and is always available to discuss how China Confidential can cut costs and reduce risk for its clients.
Pierre Cronje, Senior Account Manager
Pierre brings his 40 years’ experience in IT solutions, sales, account management, consulting, project management and general business management in industry, finance, telecommunications and government to spearhead the China Confidential initiative in South Africa. Based in Johannesburg, Pierre is available for consultation on China procurement across a range of industries from mining and infrastructure, to manufacturing and distribution.
Sean Zhuo, Manager - South China
Sean has been sourcing products and managing Chinese suppliers for Australian businesses since the late nineties. His enthusiasm, quick mind and personal knowledge of almost every manufacturing hub in China make him an invaluable member of China Confidential. An extremely tough negotiator on behalf of our clients, he is also an easygoing person and experienced at making our client’s visits to China smooth and productive. Sean runs the South China office in Guangdong.
Jack Long, Manager - East China
Jack comes to China Confidential after many years sourcing and inspecting products for Walmart, China. Based in Shanghai, he works hard to identify and manage the ideal suppliers for China Confidential clients. With excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes, Jack can find the right supplier and find the solution for custom manufacture or off-the-shelf purchase at the right price.
Evan Yuan, Sourcing Officer
Evan's reputation in supplier evaluation and management for custom manufacture has been built in the machinery, equipment and heavy industries for the German, U.S. and Australian markets. His familiarity with design drawings and production processes is an asset for OEM/ODM projects, and is backed his drive to achieve quality outcomes at all times. Evan's downward pressure on prices is appreciated by China Confidential's clients.
