Qualify
Qualifying your manufacturer to make sure they can meet your needs, and are motivated to do so, is the first part of your China procurement strategy.
Our clients demand that their manufacturing partners have a track record of successfully supplying brand name and prominent Western and/or Japanese companies, to prove that high quality expectations are understood. Our inspectors check certifications, assess production equipment and note proximity to transport links for later ease of delivery.
Assessing production capacity allows our team to find the best fit for our clients’ annual order schedule – too large a supplier and there is the chance of being not being a priority customer; too small and the supplier may not meet production targets.
Often the most effective way to check a manufacturer’s capability is to arrange for pre-production samples. These can then be inspected on-site by China Confidential or sent to our client for comment prior to placing the first order.
The human factor is also essential.
Do we feel there is sufficient rapport to establish a working relationship? Is the Chinese management willing to tackle strict product quality and compliance issues for our client?
Upfront discussion of the regulatory challenges our clients’ face with imported products pays dividends.
China Confidential’s managed procurement solution works on all fronts to represent our clients’ best interests.
Often a cup of tea with a supplier and a willingness listen to their concerns, too, means good business for everybody.
SHADE AUSTRALIA
"We first contacted China Confidential through their website. We received a prompt follow up which lead to a meeting where we gave a detailed briefing of our requirements. China Confidential did a lot of research on our behalf and came back with a shortlist of factories suitable for our purposes.
They organised samples to be sent to us and negotiated competitive pricing. We subsequently selected a factory with whom have built up an ongoing business relationship.
China Confidential has taken both the risk and a large amount of the stress out of dealing with China. Their professionalism is of the highest order and I would recommend their service to anyone seeking to do business in China".
